Walking to school can be dangerous for the youngest pupils, especially in the dark winter months. Primary school children, who often wear dark clothing and are more difficult for drivers to see due to their short stature, are exposed to an increased risk of accidents. In addition, they often lack the experience to correctly assess dangerous situations. To increase the safety of the ABC pupils at Freiherr von Drais Primary School in Kirchberg, NEBOLEX Umwelttechnik GmbH has once again sponsored safety vests this year. On October 2, 2024, Managing Director Jan Frenzel and his employees presented each i-Dötzchen with a neon yellow safety vest. The vests are comfortable to wear over an anorak. Thanks to the eye-catching color and the extra-wide reflective stripes, the children are more visible in traffic. The initiative aims to prevent accidents and make the journey to school safer for our youngest children.

Dust binding measures in the gravel and natural stone works
The production of paving stones, bricks and other products in a natural stone factory leads to considerable dust generation. Nebolex Umwelttechnik GmbH was commissioned to install suitable dust control measures in order to comply with the strict official requirements for reducing dust emissions during the quarrying and processing operations. After a comprehensive on-site analysis and careful planning phase, the practical implementation began. A mobile dust binding machine was used during the blasting work in the quarry, which effectively prevented the dust from spreading far into the surrounding area. During further material processing in the crusher, spray fog bars were installed directly at the dust sources. These robust stainless steel bars with integrated mist nozzles are specially designed for use in demanding environments. The advanced nozzle technology enables cistern water to be atomized without small impurities or a high lime and salt content impairing the effectiveness of the dust suppression. Successful water spraying ensures maximum dust binding, which conserves resources.

The collection points for bulky waste and construction waste disposal in large cities sort delivered goods into different warehouses. Dust is inevitably produced when the individual building materials such as concrete, bricks, mortar and tiles are segmented.

A storage area was moved into the hall. The company commissioned effective measures from Nebolex Umwelttechnik to minimize dust. Dust binding machines were tested during an on-site visit. The decision was made in favor of the Elite 5040 mounted on a pantograph. This allows the entire area of the hall to be fogged. Dust formation is avoided and dust turbulence is prevented, ensuring the best possible protection of employees from dust exposure.

Scrap cleaning system with water spraying
A two-component dust binding system from NEBOLEX Umwelttechnik GmbH was installed and successfully commissioned at a scrap cleaning plant in Peru, South America.
The aim is to separate the fines, such as dust and impurities, and thus improve the quality of the steel scrap. NEBOLEX Umwelttechnik GmbH installed armored spray bars with integrated mist nozzles close to the source of the dust at all points where conveyed material falls or is dropped. The particularly robust design of the stainless steel bars ensures that unexpectedly heavy scrap parts cannot damage the protected fog nozzles on contact. The two-substance system consisting of the media air and water can also nebulize filtered process water through the special nozzles. The control of the spraying system is integrated into a control cabinet. Only when material is present does the fogging switch on automatically.
After passing through the special scrap screen, the screened scrap is virtually dust-free and has convinced the customer. The targets in terms of capacity and required scrap quality were achieved and even increased. This is essential as the cleaning system is installed in a hot and dry area. High dust levels mean higher environmental pollution. The successful water spraying system ensures maximum dust binding, which conserves resources.

Previous uses of Storz C hoses, such as those used by fire departments for wet holding, have proven to be unsatisfactory. Not only the enormous water consumption associated with unwanted puddles, but also the additional personnel costs lead to increased costs. The tailor-made solution therefore consists of mobile dust binding machines with different throwing distances, ranging from small and fine to large and wide, thus covering a wide range of applications.
The number and size of the nozzles determine the droplet spectrum. The smaller the water droplets, the larger the total surface area of the water, which means that more dust can be bound. The simple control via radio remote control makes the dust binding machines a flexible and compact must-have for every demolition company.
