Dust analysis - Dust particles and health
Due to alarming figures in the health sector and climate change, dust is increasingly becoming the focus of environmental and occupational safety authorities. The decisive parameter from a health perspective is the size of the dust particles. A distinction is made between coarse dust, which is visible to the human eye, and fine dust, which consists of very small, invisible particles.
As a general rule, the smaller the particles, the greater the risk to health.
The origin of the type of dust is also decisive. Dust from inorganic materials such as coal, quartzite, gypsum, stone, metals, paper and waste has an increased pollutant content. In order to minimize the risk of health hazards and eliminate obstacles with authorities, dust control is a necessary must for many companies and a complex task.
If dust is suspected of being harmful to health or material, only a precise analysis can provide information.
This analysis of the dust sample shows the composition of the particles it contains and provides an indication of the possible origin of the dust and the source of the emissions.
The latter must then make every effort to avoid the dust and odor nuisance or reduce it to a minimum.
NEBOLEX Umwelttechnik GmbH specializes in dust and odour control.
Depending on the application, NEBOLEX Umwelttechnik offers specific solutions in the industrial sector.
