Safety for first-time schoolchildren
Safety for first-time schoolchildren
High visibility vests from NEBOLEX
For first-graders in particular, the daily commute to school poses a challenge – especially during the dark autumn and winter months. Many elementary school children wear dark clothing and are often difficult for drivers to spot due to their small size. Their lack of experience in road traffic also makes it difficult to recognize or correctly assess potentially dangerous situations in time.
Every year during the dark season
It is therefore all the more important to take appropriate measures to increase the safety of the youngest. This year again, the company NEBOLEX Umwelttechnik GmbH has donated reflective vests to all first-graders at the Freiherr von Drais Elementary School in Kirchberg. At the beginning of September, CEO Jan Frenzel, together with his team, presented each first-grader with a bright yellow safety vest.
The ponchos are cut to be worn comfortably over jackets or anoraks. Their striking color, combined with extra-wide, reflective stripes, ensures that children are much more visible in morning and evening traffic – even in poor light conditions or rainy weather.
With this campaign, NEBOLEX not only aims to contribute to the safety of schoolchildren but also to raise awareness of the importance of visibility in road traffic. The initiative is an important contribution to preventing accidents and making the journey to school safer. The children’s joy shows how important and welcome these measures are.
The teachers at the elementary school also support the campaign with great commitment. They encourage the children to wear them daily and praise them when they come to school visibly and responsibly. This not only strengthens the children’s motivation but also promotes an awareness of safe behavior in road traffic.

Fogging systems in recycling operations
NEBOLEX fog turbines
Fogging systems in recycling operations
Recycling companies face the daily challenge of processing large quantities of a wide variety of materials. This inevitably results in significant dust and odor emissions. Especially in closed halls, dust not only affects the working atmosphere, but can also lead to health problems for employees. Odors from certain material flows also pose a problem, which can both worsen working conditions and cause significant nuisance to local residents.
the solution
In order to effectively meet these challenges, more and more recycling companies are turning to innovative solutions for dust and odor control. One particularly effective method is the NEBOLEX mist turbine with swivel function. This is permanently installed on one side wall of the hall. By moving it left and right to the desired stop point and adjusting the angle of inclination, the fine water mist can be distributed evenly throughout the entire hall. The tiny droplets bind even the smallest dust particles in the air. This can greatly reduce dust pollution.
The system used is an efficient fogging technology that requires only a very small amount of water. Furthermore, the control technology ensures very precise fog dosing at the desired positions.
In addition to significantly improving air quality, odour nuisance in the surrounding area is also reduced. The fine film of water envelops odour molecules and neutralises them before they can spread throughout the room. For employees, this means greater occupational safety, fewer health risks and a much more pleasant working environment.
In addition, the NEBOLEX fog turbine impresses with its versatile application possibilities. It is not only suitable for recycling halls, but also for other dusty or odor-intensive areas, such as wood processing, the metal industry, or bulk material handling. The system can be individually adapted to the conditions of the respective operation.
Conclusion:
With the NEBOLEX mist turbine, recycling companies are not only investing in clean air and safe working conditions, but also in greater efficiency and sustainability. Because less dust means less wear and tear, less cleaning – and therefore lower costs in the long term.

Dust removal in power plants
Dust extraction system in the combined heat and power plant
Water atomization for dust removal during waste wood processing.
Dust extraction systems in combined heat and power plants during the processing of waste wood of various grades. Delivered by truck, the material is conveyed into a feed hopper by means of a push floor unloading system. It is then transported further by huge grabs. These processes generate a considerable amount of dust, which poses a major hazard. Poor visibility due to dust increases the risk of accidents, such as near collisions or tragic collisions between vehicles and workers. In addition, high dust concentrations can impair technical equipment and trigger fire alarm systems, leading to operational interruptions and unnecessary costs.
Advantage: Water mist technology has proven to be an extremely effective method of binding dust.
Effective dust control
Special nozzles spray a fine mist of water directly onto the sources of dust. The mist binds the dust particles, increases their weight, and prevents them from being stirred up. This significantly improves the air quality in the plant and reduces hazardous dust concentrations.
Safe working environment
Lower dust exposure improves visibility and minimizes the risk of accidents for employees. This is particularly important as operating heavy machinery and vehicles in dusty environments can lead to dangerous situations.
Robust design
In this application, the nozzles were installed in sturdy stainless steel housings specially designed for the harsh conditions in combined heat and power plants. A specially manufactured steel armor along the feed hopper protects the spray bars from mechanical damage, such as from grapples, and ensures a long service life for the system.
Efficient use of water
Precise dosing of the water mist achieves effective dust binding without soaking the waste wood. This is crucial for maintaining material quality and plant efficiency.
Optimized system control
Monitoring and control of the system, combined with employee training, ensures the highest safety standards and maximum efficiency. Modern automation technologies make it possible to adjust the mist intensity to the dust load and minimize water consumption.
Prevention of false alarms
A reduced dust concentration prevents false alarms in fire alarm systems, which are often triggered by swirling particles. This contributes to uninterrupted operation and lower maintenance costs.
Conclusion
Dust binding with water mist is an essential solution for combined heat and power plants that process waste wood of various grades. It improves air quality, increases workplace safety, and reduces technical malfunctions. Thanks to its robust construction and targeted application of water mist, long-term operating costs are reduced and plant productivity is increased. In addition, the method helps to create an environmentally friendly and safe working environment—a decisive advantage for modern combined heat and power plants that must meet the highest safety and environmental standards.

Scrap cleaning system with water spraying
A two-component dust binding system from NEBOLEX Umwelttechnik GmbH was installed and successfully commissioned at a scrap cleaning plant in Peru, South America.
The aim is to separate the fines, such as dust and impurities, and thus improve the quality of the steel scrap. NEBOLEX Umwelttechnik GmbH installed armored spray bars with integrated mist nozzles close to the source of the dust at all points where conveyed material falls or is dropped. The particularly robust design of the stainless steel bars ensures that unexpectedly heavy scrap parts cannot damage the protected fog nozzles on contact. The two-substance system consisting of the media air and water can also nebulize filtered process water through the special nozzles. The control of the spraying system is integrated into a control cabinet. Only when material is present does the fogging switch on automatically.
After passing through the special scrap screen, the screened scrap is virtually dust-free and has convinced the customer. The targets in terms of capacity and required scrap quality were achieved and even increased. This is essential as the cleaning system is installed in a hot and dry area. High dust levels mean higher environmental pollution. The successful water spraying system ensures maximum dust binding, which conserves resources.
